Platinum Stars Hurt Kaizer Chiefs At The End Of Last Season

Platinum Stars Hurt Kaizer Chiefs At The End Of Last Season
Kaizer Chiefs haven't lost back-to-back Absa Premiership games in nearly a year, but the last team to make them do so was this weekend's opponent, Platinum Stars.   Read: De Sa's Warning About 'Wounded' Chiefs   The Amakhosi are still reeling from the weekend's 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chippa United, with the Glamour Boys suffering their worst league defeat since losing by the same scoreline to Santos almost a decade ago in 2009.    Chiefs have only lost five times in the league this season – twice against the Chilli Boys – and last lost consecutive games in the Absa Premiership in May of last year when they were beaten by Polokwane City and then Dikwena.   On that occasion, in the penultimate game of last season, it was Solomon Mathe and former player, Enocent Mkhabela, with the goals, and the Glamour Boys have managed to avoid consecutive league defeats ever since then.    Click here to check out the PSL fixtures   Roger de Sa has already said that he's wary of taking on Steve Komphela's 'wounded' side, but they could add insult to injury to the fourth-placed Amakhosi, who will be low on confidence as their slim chances of a title push were given another dent.   Dikwena know that they need results if they're going to try and catch Ajax Cape Town and remain in the Absa Premiership, and making sure that Chiefs lose back-to-back games once again would do them the world of good.
