Platinum Stars Hurt Kaizer Chiefs At The End Of Last Season
Kaizer Chiefs haven't lost back-to-back Absa Premiership games in nearly a year, but the last team to make them do so was this weekend's opponent, Platinum Stars. Chiefs have only lost five times in the league this season – twice against the Chilli Boys – and last lost consecutive games in the Absa Premiership in May of last year when they were beaten by Polokwane City and then Dikwena. On that occasion, in the penultimate game of last season, it was Solomon Mathe and former player, Enocent Mkhabela, with the goals, and the Glamour Boys have managed to avoid consecutive league defeats ever since then. Dikwena know that they need results if they're going to try and catch Ajax Cape Town and remain in the Absa Premiership, and making sure that Chiefs lose back-to-back games once again would do them the world of good.
