According to the Daily Mail, former Juventus and Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro is the best paid club boss in China.
The Italian FIFA World Cup winner reportedly earns €12 million (R173 million) a year at Guangzhou Evergrande, which also makes him one of the highest paid managers in the world, behind Marcello Lippi, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.
Cannavaro has won just two titles as a professional manager, the China League One trophy and the Chinese FA Super Cup.
The 44-year-old's first job in management was as an assistant at Al-Ahli in 2013, while his debut job as a head coach came in 2015 with Guangzhou Evergrande.
After managing Al-Nasr in the 2015/16 season and Tianjin Quanjian in 2016/17, Cannavaro returned to Evergrande in November 2017.
