Malesela was relieved of his duties at Chippa this week. He has been replaced by Teboho Moloi, who initially arrived at the club to work as his assistant.
As confirmed by the Port Elizabeth outfit, Moloi has since been appointed as the caretaker coach of the Chilli Boys. Following his exit from Chippa, Malesela is being linked with a move to Polokwane City.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns development coach was first linked with Polokwane in May last year, and now that he is currently unattached after parting ways with Chippa, the indication is that he could be a target for Rise and Shine, should the Limpopo outfit want to make adjustments to its technical team.
Contacted for comment, Malesela told the Siya crew that he will be available to join a new club next month.

"I don't know about that (Polokwane). I don't know anything now. I just want (to) be with my family and stuff like that. The plan for me is to relax a bit. There will be a break in October and I will sit down with my manager to see if we can work on something. That's the break from which one can start implementing something in a club if there will be a club at that time. If there is a club, I would love to start then. Two weeks would be enough for me to implement my philosophy and whatever that would be needed to be done. Obviously, that would have to be followed by the results," said Malesela.
