What's the story?

With Tau becoming one of the biggest football stars coming out of South Africa in recent years, it can be said that the former Mamelodi Sundowns man is no longer the up and coming starlet he used to be.

Now at 27 with more miles on the clock, Tau can easily be regarded as one of the senior members of South African football at the moment.

Tough Times

After grafting in loan spells with Belgian sides as Union SG, Club Brugge and Anderlecht, Tau finally got the chance to join parent club Brighton Hove Albion in January this year.

Since then, Tau has only featured in four games for the Seagulls this season with the 2020/21 campaign now coming to a close. 

Tau celebrates his 27th birthday this week with the tricky attacker quickly becoming a trending topic on Twitter, as supporters wished him well on his special day.
