Former Kaizer Chiefs development player Mpho Khumalo will be back in the PSL in the new season after signing a deal with GladAfrica Championship club Free State Stars.
Following a stint with Royal Eagles, who were relegated to the ABC Motsepe League at the end of the 2019/20 season, Khumalo has been signed by Ea Lla Koto as part of the club's plans to return to the top-flight at the end of the 2020/21 season.

"Mpho Khumalo has signed with Free State Stars. It's a done deal. It's a one-year deal with an option," the player's representative Gerald Baloyi of Vodia Players Management confirmed.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, who has previously also played for Mthatha Bucks in his career, will be working on helping the Bethlehem outfit to move up to the DStv Premiership for a chance to finally make a name for himself in Mzansi's top-flight after failing to do so while still with Amakhosi.
