Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Christian Eriksen has been placed on the transfer list just one year after the playmaker joined the club.
Eriksen joined the Serie A giants from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window this year, but has failed to cement a spot in Antonio Conte's starting XI.
With the Danish midfielder, who has made only eight appearances in the Italian top flight this season, having been vocal in his frustration about the lack of playing time over the past year, Marotta has now confirmed that the club is looking to offload the player.
"Eriksen is on the transferable list," the Inter CEO told Sky Sports Italy.
"He has struggled to settle into the squad, he is not functional to the squad. That's just an objective fact.
"That is not any insult towards his professionalism, there is no punishment, it's just a situation that has developed and it's only fair to give him the chance to go where he can play more regularly."
