Milutin Sredojevic Reveal CAF Champions League Plans For Orlando Pirates

After their elimination from the CAF Champions League, Orlando Pirates' Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has said that the club is building a team to conquer Africa in years to come.   

Speaking after their exit from the continental competition, Bucs head coach revealed that the have a plan to potentially add a second star on the club's badge.

The Buccaneers lost 2-1 against Horoya AC of Guinea in Conakry on Saturday in their final Group B match and were knocked out of the Champions League, as a result. 

Speaking to Pirates TV and the media in Guinea after the match, Sredojevic spoke of the lessons the team has learned during their African campaign, while also revealing the club's future plans for the competition. 

"We have learnt a lesson, this is our 10th match after six years in CAF Champions League. We have learnt so much in qualifiers, we have learnt so much in the group, and these are players that will help Orlando Pirates in the years to come to go the direction that we want to go," Sredojevic told Pirates TV.

"We want to put the second star here (pointing on Pirates' badge on the top he is wearing). But for that, you need to pay the scholarship, you need to go to the school and we have learned our lesson," added the coach.

Pirates are left with only the Absa Premiership trophy to play for the 2018/19 season. Their next match will be against Black Leopards at the Orlando Stadium on March 29.
