Prominent football agent Mohammed Lawal has advised on how the PSL relegation should be decided this season if the league ends prematurely.
Having already advised that Kaizer Chiefs should be awarded the 2019/20 Absa Premiership title, should the league ends before the normal round of 30 of the fixtures, Lawal says the bottom two teams on the log should go down to the GladAfrica Championship.

"Let's say we get to June or July without any football, or without things going back to normal, I think the league should be declared finished. Promote the two teams that are at the top in the NFD and relegate the bottom two in the PSL because they put themselves there. Declare the champions!" said Lawal.
As things stand on the PSL log standings, AmaZulu and Black Leopards are in position 15 and 16 respectively, with both teams having six matches each remaining for the season, before the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

"The league (next season) could then start at an earlier date that would be chosen. FIFA is flexible in allowing the leagues to find ways to conclude their programmes or to declare the champions. If they (PSL) say they want to give the league on merit, there is nobody at this point who can question that Kaizer Chiefs have merited it. They have been consistent and up to this point they are number one. We cannot say they have not merited it. Even if Sundowns can win the outstanding game (in hand), they (Chiefs) would still be at the top. They (PSL) should try and find the balance but this thing (COVID-19) is hectic!" the agent told the Siya crew.
