"Pitso Fined Me For That"

"Pitso Fined Me For That"

After a mouth-watering MTN8 final, which saw Mamelodi Sundowns get their hands on the trophy for the first time, the weekend directly after will bring arguably the biggest match in Africa to our screens, the Soweto Derby. This fixture is draped in history and pride with the two teams from Soweto looking to claim bragging rights. Earlier this year, it was the Buccaneers who emerged victorious after beating their neighbours 2-1 at the Orlando Stadium which means Chiefs will be itching to come out on top. The Amakhosi faithful have seen a slight turnaround in their performances with a key linkup coming into fruition with Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat, however, a loss to a well ironed-out Stellenbosch FC this past matchday means that Chiefs will need to bounce back to the best of their ability against a Pirates side who managed to overcome Sekhukhune United 2-1.

Rumours of Rulani being offered jobs not only locally, but also out of South Africa have been circulating in the media and the Mamelodi Sundowns coach and his agent have come out and said, "Coach Rulani is focused on Sundowns.'' Speaking on the SL Podcast's The Carwash, former Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star Teko Modise says, "I know Rulani's ambitions, he wants to win trophies." Modise goes on to say "With Mokwena currently playing CAF football weekly, why would he go play games on an astroturf and no shoes?"

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town goalie Sean Roberts and Modise discuss the upcoming Soweto Derby after analyzing this past weekend's MTN8 final. The gents also discuss Rulani Mokwena and the job offers he has received, on and off our shores.
