Teenage Hadebe Is Confident Kaizer Chiefs Can Beat ZESCO United

Teenage Hadebe

Teenage Hadebe says that Kaizer Chiefs' 'collective hearts dropped' when Khama Billiat's goal was given offside in Zambia, but believes they can get the job done against ZESCO United.    Read: Downs Attacker Jets Out   It's do-or-die for the Glamour Boys this evening when they come up against the Zambian giants in the CAF Confederation Cup, with the South Africans looking to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg in Ndola.    Billiat did get one goal in the game, although had another chalked off during the 90 minutes as ZESCO went on to secure a solid home win ahead of the second stanza at FNB Stadium tonight.    The defender told the club's official website ahead of the clash, "It's always difficult to play away, what made it worse was when the referee disallowed Khama Billiat's second goal for offside. Our collective hearts dropped because we knew our task would be more difficult.    "It promises to be a tough match, and we need all the support we can get… I strongly believe that we are going to score more than two goals, now, it's our time to shine and Africa is calling our name.    "It's very important to get to the group stage because playing in Africa is what every player dreamt about from a young age. It's a great stage to be. We, as Kaizer Chiefs, are a big club and we want to compete with the best on the African continent. I feel confident that we will progress."   Meanwhile, on a personal note, Hadebe's been used as a centre back and a left back in recent weeks, but which does he prefer? "I am left-footed," he explained. "I know both positions well and can play at either comfortably. It all depends on the coach and the situation."    The game is due to get underway at 20h00.
