Newly promoted top-flight outfit Swallows FC have issued a crucial update regarding six of their players.

The Dube Birds, who managed to clinch promotion at the death from Ajax Cape Town, have made plans to maintain their top-flight status next season.
The club has already outlined their plans to hold onto coach Brandon Truter, who was instrumental in guiding the club to the Premier Soccer League.

Now, the club have revealed via their social media channels that they are retaining the services of four key players, including experienced duo Lebohang Mokoena, 33, who has been a vital leader as the captain of the team and former Chiefs shot stopper Virgil Vries, 31.
Givemore Khupe, 20, and Mthokozisi Shwabule, 24, Tlakusani Mthethwa, 27, and Sanele Tshabalala, 22, are the other players who have been retained by the Birds.
The club has not given an indication of the length of the extensions handed to these players, but they could well be with the club until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Swallows are also expected to rope in more reinforcements to their playing personnel in the near future as they gear up for their maiden season in the first tier.
