AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy has opened up about the impact Siyanda Xulu has made on the squad while he trains with the club.
The Bafana Bafana defender is currently a free agent after parting ways with Israeli side, Hapoel Tel Aviv, earlier this month.

The Siya crew reported that the Bafana Bafana defender is training with Usuthu and McCarthy confirmed that the KwaMashu-born defender has been good with the group since his arrival.
"He is a breath of fresh air, he comes with huge experience. He asked myself and the technical team if it is possible for him to come and train with us, because of what happened to him in Israel and now he is free. So we said yeah, we more than welcome to assist him," McCarthy tells media.
"His leadership qualities that he portrays... you know a player, when you have it, you have it and he was born with it. Class is permanent, and he is one of those players. You can see in training, it is rubbing (off) on others because players are starting talk because of Siyanda Xulu and he is not even our player.
"But having that natural leader talking and dictating in training, advising players in training, it is something that we want. We want good, influential players."
McCarthy went on to plead to the club's president to add Xulu to the squad.
"He is like other senior players we have and for me it is super positive. I hope we have it within us to make him an addition to the squad. He won't be a bad addition to the team so Mr President Zungu, if you are watching or listening to this, please Siyanda Xulu, we want him."
