The Lions of Teranga boast one of the strongest squads on paper at the tournament, with every single one of the 23 members of Cisse's selection being overseas-based players.
Of the 23 players selected by Cisse, 17 of those players play their football in one Europe's elite leagues, with the only exceptions being Pape Abdou Cisse (Olympiacos), Lamine Gassama (Goztepe), Keprin Diatta (Club Brugge), Pape Alioune Ndiaye (Galatasaray), Henri Saivet (Bursaspor) and Mbaye Diagne (Galatasaray).
Cisse initially named a 25-man provisional squad for the spectacle, but has since trimmed the team down to 23 players, with Nantes striker Santy Ngom and Lorient midfielder Sidy Sarr omitted from the final selection.
The Lions of Teranga will look to the likes of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye and 2018/19 Premier League Golden Boot winner Mane to secure their first-ever AFCON title.
Senegal will continue their preparations with a pre-tournament warm-up game against Nigeria on Sunday, 16 June, before jetting off to Egypt, where they will need to get past fellow Group C teams Algeria, Kenya and Tanzania to advance to the knockout stages.
