There has been no update on when football will return to South Africa, as the nationwide lockdown ends in two weeks' time, but Daniel Cardoso is making sure that he will be ready whenever he is needed by Ernst Middendorp.
Amakhosi are currently four points clear at the top of the Absa Premiership table with eight games to go, but the Coronavirus pandemic brought the league to a standstill last month as Mzansi looks to try and 'flatten the curve'.
Cardoso has been ever-present in Chiefs' push to the top of the table, playing every single minute and contributing to a number of goals as they seek to end the longest trophy drought in their 50-year history.
On his personal Instagram page, the defender expressed how much he missed the game, also issuing a plea for fans to stay indoors, when he said, "A winner is someone who works to become a champion all the time, even when no one is watching!!! Miss being out on the field of play and doing what I love… Stay indoors and stay safe people, don't forget to wash your hands regularly and let's fight this Covid-19 virus together."
