Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has leaped to the defence of keeper Kennedy Mweene for the goal he conceded in their 2-1 Absa Premiership win over Baroka FC on Saturday afternoon.
Not long after the Brazilians took the lead, the Zambian tried to play the ball from the back and his goal kick was straight at Bonginkosi Makume, who's shot fell on the path of striker Onkabetse Makgantai to drive home the equaliser.

"We made a mistake, but it's OK. Kennedy made a mistake, but I always budget for these kinds of mistakes because we have to play from the back. If you don't want these kinds of mistakes – then you must kick the ball up," Mosimane told journalists after the game. "But when you kick it up it is for everybody, and I don't like that kind of football."
Mweene has been standing in for the injured Denis Onyango, though the Ugandan is expected to return to action later this week. The victory took Downs within three points of log leaders Orlando Pirates with a game in hand, which will be played on Tuesday against Chippa United.
