Gavin Hunt's Post-Match Thoughts After 1-1 Draw To Bloemfontein Celtic

Gavin Hunt's Post-Match Thoughts After 1-1 Draw To Bloemfontein Celtic

Gavin Hunt has admitted that this has been the most stressful time for him in his professional coaching career.

Kaizer Chiefs continue on their struggle for form in the current domestic campaign, winning just one out of eight matches played and sitting at 13th position on the DStv Premiership log standings.

Following another league draw, this time at home against Bloemfontein Celtic, Hunt explained that it's been a stressful time, though maintains that his side needs to keep battling to get themselves out of the rut.

"Yes, (it is the most stressful time in my career) it's only been seven games but it certainly hasn't been easy, but also it's gone against us a little bit but sometimes you have to work harder for those things," Hunt said after a 1-1 draw to Celtic.

"With the evidence of the chances created I think it's two points lost, we had some great opportunities in the first half, they didn't have one in the first but in the second, as I said, the boys scored a fantastic strike but I think it is more lost than a point gained.

"I know where the problems are but we have to (turn the corner), we have to keep battling away and that is all you can do in football, we can't change anything so we have to do the best we can.

"We've got to try and improve defensively if you want to come out of a rut you've got to get better defensively and I always say, rather draw 0-0 than draw 2-2, it might be negative but I don't think so, you need to certainly be a bit harder to beat.

"It's four days or three days until we start training again and play again so it is just a couple of days and back in again to prepare to go to Angola."
