Teams: Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila v SuperSport United
Date: 04 February 2021
Venue: Thohoyandou Stadium
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will have a change of scenery from their league woes when they host cup specialists SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Thursday evening.
The match will get underway at 17h00.
TTM enter the clash on the back of five consecutive losses in the DStv Premiership and will welcome a change of setting, as they look to book their spot in the last 16 for the first time since 2019.
Vhadau Vha Damani were last in the competition proper in 2019 when they were in the GladAfrica Championship and were denied a spot in the quarter-finals by Chippa United, who won 2-0.
On the other hand, Matsatsantsa are in a good form in the league, as they five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns with a game in hand but they will want to make amends after an early exit last term.
SuperSport, who last won the competition back-to-back in 2016 and 2017, were knocked out in the first round last season by eventual winners Sundowns, who edged the Tshwane derby 1-0.
The sides have met twice already this season, first in the MTN8 quarter-finals where Matsatsantsa edged a five-goal thriller before SuperSport claimed a 2-0 win in the league almost two weeks ago.
