Social media was abuzz on Tuesday evening as Liverpool star Sadio Mané was crowned CAF African Player of the Year at a glitzy ceremony in Egypt.
The Senegal star ousted Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah and Algeria's sensational winger Riyad Mahrez.
It was Mané's first CAF gong, although many fans feel as though it was long overdue, following his exploits for club and country in the 2018/19 season.
