Result: South Africa 0-0 Nigeria

Date: 05 February 2019

Venue: Stade General Syeni Kountache

Amaita claimed their second point at the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations after holding Nigeria to a goalless draw on Tuesday afternoon.

Thabo Senong's were searching for their first win of the campaign after opening Group A with a 1-1 draw against tournament hosts Niger.

Amajita struggled to get the ball off Nigeria early on, but they did manage to carve out a chance, which Siphesihle Mkhize failed to capatilise on.

The Flying Eagles were in control for most of the first half, however they were unable to trouble Amajita shot-stopper Khulekani Kubheka.

In the second half, Senong's charges showed a bit more adventure and manage to a few passes together following the introduction of Promise Mkhma at halftime.

The Nigerians took control for the rest of the second half in search of a winning goal that would secure their spot in the knockout round.

Unfortunately, that was the trend for the rest of the half as Nigeria move to four points while South Africa sit on two points.

Amajita will face Burundi in their final Group A clash on Friday evening.
