With Kaizer Chiefs reshuffling their squad as the 2018/19 season nears an end, former Amakhosi midfielder Junior Khanye has suggested a few other changes he believes would benefit the club.
Chiefs have been reshuffling their squad in preparation of next season, with players like Hendrick Ekstein, Gustavo Paez, Khotso Malope and Vrigil Vries having already been allowed to leave.

According to Khanye, more players need to leave Naturena ahead of next season, as coach Ernst Middendorp will be expected to prepare for his first full season on his second stint with the club.
"It doesn't make sense to me that Pule Ekstein has been released and has left some players there that I feel don't deserve to be at the club. I can mention players that I feel the club could do well without them. (Philani) Zulu, Ryan Moon and (Leonardo) Castro are some of them," said Khanye.

"I am talking about players I feel are not doing enough for Kaizer Chiefs. I'm sorry, 'Salt and Pepper' – Willard Katsande should be released. The former Ajax Cape Town defender… (Mario) Booysen, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, (Kgotso) Moleko and the goalkeeper from Chippa United… what's his name (Daniel Akpeyi), should be replaced with Thela Ngobeni. Teenage Hadebe should be on the list of outgoing players. George Maluleka needs a tongue-lashing. They need to talk to him to say he should wake up," said Khanye.
Khanye, whose self-proclaimed love for Amakhosi is unmatched, recently suggested a wish list for players he would like to see join his former club.
The list included Maritzburg United's Fortune Makaringe, Andile Jali of Mamelodi Sundowns, Chippa United's Thabo Rakhale, as well as Polokwane City's Jabulani Maluleke and Teboho Mokoena of SuperSport United, among others.
