Willard Katsande wants the Kaizer Chiefs fans to maintain faith in the team as they look to remain at the top spot on the Absa Premiership league standings.
The 2019/20 season is set to resume action in the coming weeks, this after three months without football due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Chiefs are currently top of the log with a four point advantaged over second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, eager to put an end to their five-year trophy drought.
In a season review on Chiefs' official YouTube account, Katsande opened up about the mood at Amakhosi during their title chase and how the team needs to supporters to maintain belief in the job they're doing.
"For me, in terms on focusing on your path, I think that's the most important thing and if you can come to our training sessions you will see that the guys are calm," Katsande said.
"We only focus on the job in hand, working hard and listening to watch the coach want us to do and the technical team has been working very hard in bringing certain examples, even that is not football related to actually show you how (to be calm) and how other champions, how they deal with these kind of situations so we just need to focus on our path."
"All we can say is that the supporters need to keep calm and support the team and have belief and faith in us, we still have the control and we still are going to control it until the finish line," the Zimbabwean midfielder went on to say.
