Real Madrid have reportedly identified their replacement for Sergio Ramos, who will officially leave the club at the end of the month.
Ramos' 16-year spell in the Spanish capital will come to an end when his contract expires on 30 June.
However, it seems Los Blancos have already identified a successor for the player, with Marca reporting that the club is looking to sign Sevilla central defender Jules Kounde.
The France star has also been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United after a few eye-catching displays with the LaLiga club over the past year.
However, the Red Devils are reportedly more interested in Los Blancos' Raphael Varane, which could pave the way for Real to pounce for Kounde.
According to the abovementioned Spanish publication, however, the 22-year-old Frenchman has a release clause of €80 million (R1.3 billion), and Real president Florentino Perez may be hesitant to pay that amount as the club continues to cut costs.
Los Blancos have already bolstered their defence with the arrival of David Alaba from Bayern Munich on a free transfer, while they are also said to be hopig to tie Varane down to a longer deal.
