Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

Tottenham Hotspur were made to work hard for the 1-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The North London outfit were desperate to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City over the weekend.

With destined to end all square, up stepped Christian Eriksen to rifle home a low strike from 20-yards out in the 88th minute.

The win sees Spurs move up to fourth spot, while Brighton remain in 17th spot, three points above the drop zone.

Watford 1-1 Southampton

Southampton missed the chance to pull eight points clear of the drop zone following a 1-1 draw with Watford.

The Saints got off to the perfect start when Shane Long opened the scoring after seven seconds, which is now the fastest goal in Premier League history.

However, Southampton were minutes away from securing three points before Andre Grey snatched the equaliser for Watford on 90 minutes.
