Explaining the process, EA wrote on the game's official website, "Choose the best 11 players of the last 12 months of football before voting closes on January 18, and your vote will count towards the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Team of the Year!
"The final Team of the Year will be announced later in January, when special TOTY player items featuring some of the highest ratings of the season will be released in FUT 21 to celebrate each player's incredible performances."
There are only two African stars in the mix, with Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane available to choose from in attack.
There are a number of representatives from last year's UEFA Champions League finalists, Bayern Munich (winners) and Paris Saint-German (runners-up) - though some key members from the German giants were excluded.
Jurgen Klopp's Premier League-winning side is also well represented in the list, while Manchester United have just a single representative in Bruno Fernandes.
