Serie A Report: Torino v Juventus 03 April 2021

Result: Torino 2-2 Juventus

Date: 03 April 2021

Venue: Olimpico di Torino

The Serie A title continues to slip away from Juventus, who could only manage a 2-2 draw against cross-town rivals Torino on Saturday evening.

Juventus were without Paulo Dybala, Weston McKennie and Arthur Melo missed after being suspended by the club for attending a private party.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Federico Chiesa opened the scoring on 13 minutes after being set up by Alvaro Morata.

Torino did not sit back as they restored parity in the 27th minute, with Antonio Sanabria firing home from close range after Wojciech Szczesny could only parry Rolando Mandragora's effort.

Andrea Pirlo's men dominated possession thereafter, but they had to wait until the 43rd minute for another chance when Morata forced Salvatore Sirigu into a fine save with a powerful header.

Torino came out guns blazing in the second half and took the lead a minute after the break through Sanabria, who fired home at Szczesny's near post.

With the visitors struggling to carve out chances, Pirlo introduced Federico Bernadeschi and Aaron Ramsey with 20 minutes left on the clock as they went in search of an equaliser.

Ronaldo eventually brought Juventus level in the 79th minute with a close-range finish after getting on the end of Giorgio Chiellini's flick-on.
