Hi guys
As you all know, I requested a list of interviews that you guys would like to see in your favourite soccer publication and you all came up with some good suggestions.
I just want to give you guys some feedback on the interviews you suggested early this week. Shortly after getting those suggestions, I met with our editorial team so that the guys can start working on making them happen.
Cod-Ex requested an interview with Bafana Bafana coach, Shakes Mashaba, and one of the questions Cod-Ex suggested was whether Shakes will be appointing a new Bafana captain. A lot has happened since Shakes’ appointment, as he’s still busy with Amajita’s preparations for this weekend’s game against Cameroon. So there was not enough time for us to get an interview with Shakes before he left for Cameroon but we are working on making the interview happen as soon as he gets back. This will be one of the questions we will be bringing to his attention.
Old-Layster has requested an interview with Kaizer Chiefs on-song midfielder, Mandla Masango. We have already started working on this one and you can expect it in the next two-three editions of Soccer Laduma. We have sent the request for the interview through and hopefully it will happen sooner.
Lengs9 reminded us of an old friend of South African football, Paul Dolezar and wants to know what the former Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic and Mpumalanga Black Aces mentor is up to these days. Tracking him down has proved to be a mission so far but we are working on it.
Stixzonenic wants to hear from Orlando Pirates striker, Kermit Erasmus and why he seems to miss so many clear-cut chances so far this season. Honestly, Erasmus is one of the players we have been trying to interview for a long time now, unfortunately he keeps politely turning interview requests down as he is ‘not ready to do interviews yet’. I’m personally trying to get this interview for you as soon as possible and hopefully I will be able to twist his arm and get him to answer your questions soon.
That’s all for now guys but, before I sign off, I’d like to thank you all for the wonderful support over the years. We are because you are. Please don’t forget to invite more of your friends and family members to join our movement in the Soccer Laduma Supporters Club.
Cheers
