With only seven league games before the curtain falls on the 2014/15 season, the relegation battle is becoming as hot as the league title race.
AmaZulu have been at the base of the log for the better part of the season with Moroka Swallows occupying the second last spot. Mpumalanga Black Aces’ 2-1 win against Swallows pushed the Dube Birds further into the relegation battle.
After 23 rounds of fixtures, none of the bottom six teams can really claim to be safe from the dreaded axe as just one win takes the next team closer or even climbing up the ladder.
Usuthu are sitting on 17 points, Swallows and Free State Stars 22, Platinum Stars 24, Chippa United 25 and Aces 26. Tshwane-based Pretoria University and SuperSport United complete the bottom eight on 29 and 30 points respectively.
Who do you think will definitely get the chop at the end of the season?
