Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs played to a goalless draw in the Soweto Derby on Saturday. Both teams had chances to score but failed to convert them into goals. Supporters Club spoke to Justice Skhalazo, a Chiefs supporter who was at the derby.
"Firstly I would like to thank the supporters who travelled from other provinces to come and grace the Soweto derby," he said.
"Now, to the game itself. We had more chances to wrap it up. We should've won this one at least 1-0. Even Pirates know that they were lucky to get a point in that game. Yes, they (Pirates) had their fair share of chances, but we had more chances to win it than them. The referee, Victor Gomes, also had a very good game.
"The substitutes from both sides were also good. I mean, when Shabba came on, we went to third gear, and Morrison from Pirates also livened them up. There were a few empty seats on the upper level, but I think this was caused by the fact that people buy tickets for that area and go down to stand up in the lower tier.
"I would like to also thank the Johannesburg Metro Police, they handled the traffic very well."
Do you think Chiefs were better than Pirates in the derby?
