Nyathi was one of the best left backs that this country has ever produced. He managed great feats in his career, including winning the 1996 AFCON and helping South Africa qualify for their first ever World Cup in 1998. He managed the impressive record of playing for Kaizer Chiefs as well as Orlando Pirates with a large stint at Cape Town Spurs in between. He also managed an overseas career in Switzerland and Italy.
