Today has come with a massive announcement for the South African footballing community. Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite will be coming home to South Africa after only a year overseas, and this time he will be lining up in the blue of SuperSport United instead of the black and gold of Kaizer Chiefs.
This has left many supporters debating over what this means for Kaizer Chiefs, their management and their ability to not only sign but also retain players
"Bobby must be scratching his bums now. Why did he intervene in Baxter's work? Now Komphela is destroying the team and Baxter is laughing." – Panyaza_M
"Yhoooo! I am sure Mandla Masango is on his way to #SSU also to join this old man YEERRR." – just07
"Chiefs didn't renew the contract of Masha and Masa, Khune had to renegotiate to be accepted back to the team. Chiefs could not have humbled themselves and accepted their Prodigal Son, Masha. Remember when Kaiser once said, 'No one is bigger than Chiefs and we can't be held hostage by players'? Remember?" – Muthukhapfe
"Confirmed: I'm a SuperSport supporter now, until Bobby recognises that supporters are important to the team." – Zico30
"I'm heartbroken, eish." – Orifiloe1
"Don't blame players, if Baxter is being good to these players, then who wouldn't want to play under him. Even my son can't play for an underachieving coach with no convincing records in his marketing portfolio." – zikode2016
"My team will learn its lesson, you don't treat players (people) like dirt, they need these players like never before, if they went away nicely, they probably would've liked to join the team again." – khosiHouse
