In recent months, we've noticed that the MultiChoice Diski Challenge seems to have attracted more spectators than PSL matches. There are a lot of reasons as to why this is the case, but here are some of the main reasons in the supporters' eyes.
The first is that the ticket prices and transport fares are a bit high for PSL games.
Secondly, the football that is being played in SA's top flight is not that exciting anymore.
Also, the MDC youngsters are playing the type of football the supporters want to see. And the tickets are free too.
To top it all, they take the games to the townships, where many of the supporters are.
I think the PSL has to take a closer look into this issue. I hope we will get to see full stadiums in the PSL once again.
