Mamelodi Sundowns have been doing extremely well since last season, and the combination of Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly earned a nickname, "CBD", as a result. These three players were instrumental in the Brazilians' league title win last season, and the CAF Champions League triumph earlier this year.
Castro was injured in August just after the start of the new season and midway through the Champions League campaign. Some believe this led to Dolly losing form and Billiat not being as sharp in front of goal as he used to be. Many supporters felt the CBD was dead until recently, when Dolly scored a brace after good combination play between him, Castro and Billiat against Highlands Park.
Immediately, supporters screamed that the CBD is back, and in all honesty, they might very well be back to haunt the PSL's defenders for yet another season. Perhaps the Highlands Park fixture, indeed, saw the revival of the CBD...
Do you think the CBD is back?
