Keagan Dolly's contractual dispute and proposed overseas move has caused a lot of havoc among the football fraternity. As Supporters Club, we decided to put here the views shared by one of our readers on Soccer Laduma's Make Your Point, and hear what you think.
Here's what he had to say:
"There are always two sides of the coin, but Sundowns' dubious 'mistake' in the buyout clause in Dolly's contract is unjustifiable and suspicious. The revelation of aftermath, tension ratcheting up for a bitter transfer wrangle on the player's ambitious move to overseas; bitter dispute over Keagan Dolly descended into an endless vitriol between his father's camp and Downs management over the buyout clause in the contract. The club's actions infuriated the player's camp because the club made 'too many changes' to the contract, according to the player's agent. Indeed, the clause was restored to favour the club but the player's camp benefits less, all this war is about money! The acrimony between the two factions could potentially compromise the player's ambition to seek greener pastures overseas. There's conspiracy theory that the forces of market saturation and investment consortia take advantage of the financial weakness of an agent to secure the rights to sell the player to the best bidder. And it's written on the wall the winner to all this transfer saga." – Wandile Mtana
