Bafana Bafana powerhouse midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi has been training with Golden Arrows as he looks to the next step in his career. Having been linked with possible moves to both Abafana Bes'thende and Orlando Pirates, the supporters have been discussing who wants him.
Unfortunately, there was much negative sentiment surrounding the news of KG. Many supporters have discredited the player's ability, and many have said they do not want his services as he is past his prime. One of our online supporters, however, has pointed out the real value of KG in a well-structured comment.
"Shame, people really don't know soccer... Shabba scored that brilliant and very first African World Cup goal, but not many remember who threaded that ball through for him... Yes, KG. That pass alone won him a contract to Fulham. And because people only watch Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd, they'd never know KG's real/true worth. People weren't aware of his ability while he was in SA because the majority of so-called 'football lovers' only watch Pirates, Chiefs and Sundowns. What he has gained in experience can't be bought. When signing 'this kind of player', you're not necessarily just signing him to play... You're signing him for the contacts and networks he's cultivated. You think the owners of Fulham, for example, know who Steve Komphela is? Of course not! So therein lies the value of KG; if he suggests a player, they will listen, he knows scouts, players, etc. He has learned the tricks and tools of the trade and he would be a wealth of knowledge for any PSL team. Just look at what happened to Pirates when Benni returned, probably the same idiots saying Benni is a cow and they don't want him are the same turds throwing shade on KG right here and now. Mayambela got a move, Jali got a move, sports scientists were hired at Bucs, etc. That's the difference between us and bigger leagues, we support, they follow, we shun, they encourage." – Ant_55
