In today's edition of Supporters Club Did You Know, we take a look at the fascinating story of the fastest red card in footballing history came about.
This red card was technically received right after the first whistle… and because of the first whistle! The player's name was Lee Todd and he was a striker for a team called Cross Farm Park Celtic. He wasn't sent off for an unreasonable challenge, but rather for foul language.
Todd had his back to the referee at the start of the game and as the ref blew the whistle, it deafened Todd.
"F*** me, that was loud!" Todd said, and was then immediately sent off by the referee. The quickest recorded red card in history.
