'The Only Place Khumalo Beats Masilela Is In Attack'

Kaizer Chiefs have seen an improved round of performances recently. Coupled with this has been the increased competition for positions at Naturena. One of these instances has been in the left back position, where the competition between Tsepo Masilela and Sibusiso Khumalo has been heating up.

Tsepo has been the preferred choice for the Glamour Boys for a number of years now, but the arrival of Khumalo from SuperSport United has added an element of excitement and attacking flair from the left-back position.

"Correction... He's assumed the left-back position that was previously occupied by Tsepo, not replaced Masilela. You can never replace a player of that calibre. Khumalo is nowhere near Masilela in terms of quality." – Ant_55

"Yes, it's true. We need the same with Matlaba, he is in his comfort zone." – Kgotso kgatla

"Masilela is finished, we can't afford to have a player who plays in slow motion, he is one of the reasons why my team is not doing well." – Msipholar

"The only place he beats Masilela is in attack. He is more of a complete left back in a modern sense. He is gonna score goals, something that Masilela struggles with. Good competition." – Naztrick

"As much as I like Masilela, I think Khumalo has raised his hand and he is doing a great job. Tsepo is still a great player, he just needs to be rested and maybe he will come back hungry again. And one other player that I think is struggling to reach his standard is George Maluleka, that boy was supposed to take over from Yeye with ease but I still don't see what his role actually is. He needs to pull up his socks if he wants to keep his position because Keagan is coming." – thabo81

One thing is for sure, the increased competition can only help the Glamour Boys...

Between Masilela and Khumalo, who do you think should get the nod?
