Patrice Motsepe, since taking ownership of Mamelodi Sundowns in 2003, has worked tirelessly towards his goal of conquering the continent. He is now on the verge of achieving that dream, and has not forgotten about the supporters, and they have not forgotten to thank him.
As part of preparations for the final, Motsepe has paid for 150 supporters to fly to Egypt to support Masandawana from the stands, and they have used this platform to show their appreciation.
"This is appreciation and not payback time. You show compassion, Mr Motsepe. Others will fly for the first time in their lives and I wish them good luck and safe flight. A win too!!!" – Another funeral
"Great gesture by Motsepe, when the Egyptians hear the vuvuzela, they will be thinking of the 3-0 score. And guess what? That's when Dunu will score." – Sidi'ukotni
"Thanks to the president for instilling the glorious days of menwana phezulu back into the team. Those days of shoe shine and piano, whereby we enjoyed the likes of the late Samuel 'Ewie' Khambule, I enjoyed football growing as a kid. Big up to the president and coach Pitso, his technical team, and lastly the players for going this far. I wish them all the best because they're champions. What they need to do on Sunday is to play their best football and resurrect the spirit of our former players, who laid the path for our current players. Not forgetting the late Zola Mahobe, who brought glory to the team." - montjos
