Congratulations are in order! Willard Katsande has officially acquired his permanent residency in South Africa, making him technically a local player in Kaizer Chiefs' roster. The supporters have sent their message.
Some supporters see this as a negative move, as his place in the team could possibly come at the price of developing a youngster from South Africa, particularly the rural areas.
"I don't know how good that will be for us besides opening up a space for some other fellow brother from Africa, which is something I’m not really a fan of. Our SA boys from very young age deserve the chance man, grooming them would be good, especially in rural areas where they are as strong as salt & pepper." – khosiNation
Others have seen this as a welcome opportunity to bring in more foreign talent as the quota has now been relaxed with his status as a local footballer.
"Good, bring two more Zim boys." – Dunu-Rats-Slayer
And then there are those who have seen the humorous side; the jokes have been plenty, here is one for your enjoyment:
"Katsande getting PRP is like Zuma getting the title deeds for Nkandla. Now he can also get an RDP house." – Soccer Laduma will never find the inner peace.
What is your message for Salt & Pepper?
