Supporters' Confusion Over Chiefs Assistant Coach

On Monday, the management at Naturena announced the signing of eight new players for the black and gold next season. Among the changes announced, there will also be some shuffling on the technical staff. Brian Baloyi has been relocated in favour of the experienced Alex Revoredo, while club legend Doctor Khumalo has also been shifted aside for John Paintsil… Just what inspired this move?

Supporters' opinions are split over this matter. It is rather puzzling how a player who only retired from playing just last week has just got his first job as an assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs. Many are forecasting a disaster.

"I liked him as a player, but to be my team's assistant, that's a big miss." – Nastraduma.

"Technical team that will make it easier for football hooligans to throw stones at." – Litoh

Paintsil is yet to prove his worth as a footballing mentor, but it seems that, generally, the supporters are welcoming of any change, and are willing to give head coach Steve Komphela time as he now has some of his wishes granted. Will doing things his way make a difference?

"I don’t know him (Paintsil) in a managerial position, but maybe, with his European experience, he will offer the team a lot." – Ngolokantekzn

"It's good, he (Komphela) is given what he wants. Now we want results. If not, he must take a hike. We are tired of being the laughing stock." – Samakhosi

What do you make of the technical staff shuffle?
