Tonight, Owen da Gama's charges face off in a battle against the Brazilians in their first Rio Games encounter. With Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly donning the armband and leading the ship, this promises to be an epic clash.
Speaking to Supporters Club, Joyce "Mama Joy" Chauke voiced her message of support for the young men.
"They must not be afraid," she said.
"Brazil might have big-name players and we go into the game as underdogs, but we have the potential and I believe that we can do a great job.
"It has been 16 years since we were last at the Olympic Games and now have the opportunity to make this one a success.
"We have a good crop of youngsters with the experience of players such as Khune and Mathoho, who can guide their teammates.
"I wish them nothing but the very best, and I hope that they can make us proud."
Do you think the U23s can do some damage against Brazil tonight?
