SuperSport United, after a poor start to the season, found form in the latter stages, and have looked a well-rounded team under coach Stuart Baxter. The results are beginning to show, with the club booking their place in the Nedbank Cup final, and they are on the verge of ending the campaign on a high.
Matsatsantsa's previous Nedbank Cup fixture, the semi-final against Baroka FC, was largely controlled by the Pretoria-based team as they comfortably beat this season's giant killers 2-0, and SuperSport supporter Jones Shakoane believes his team will prevail in the upcoming final against Orlando Pirates.
"We are not going back home empty-handed! The trophy has our name written on it," he said.
"The last encounter against Pirates (a 2-2 draw) was a tricky one, and I would want the players to watch out for Sifiso Myeni and Luvuyo Memela, as they are very dangerous."
With that being said, SuperSport should not be underestimated as they have quality players of their own, footballers who will want to add honours to their names as well.
"Denwin Farmer has been influential in the set-up, he is a great player!" Shakoane added.
"The whole team is extremely good, and with luck on our side, we can take the cup."
Do you think SuperSport will beat Pirates in the final on Saturday?
