Last week, before the Mamelodi Sundowns-Kaizer Chiefs encounter, Supporters Club caught up with Mama Tsontso to find out the mood of the supporters before the game. "Stressed" was the word of the day, but now the tune has changed, and it seems the light at the end of the tunnel is nearing.
"We are happy! I am so happy," she said.
Mama Tsontso says the supporters are more relaxed now, although not completely, and she strongly believes that her side is one victory away from league glory.
"The vibe was hot!" she continued.
"I cannot wait to get my hands on that trophy, but it depends on Wits' performance tonight.
"If they win, then it will be very interesting, if they draw then… Ag, the league is ours."
Sundowns will take on fellow capital city-based side University of Pretoria at the Tuks stadium on Wednesday night. As things stand, the Brazilians are six points ahead of title-chasers Bidvest Wits, with three games left.
The Students face a tough encounter against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Tuesday night, and still come for them is a tough encounter in which the Brazilians and the Clever Boys still have to meet.
How do you think the rest of the season will go? Is the league as good as done? Have Sundowns already done enough? Or do you think Wits have a trick up their sleeve still?
