South Africa Thanks Sublime Khune

South Africa got their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign off to satisfying start with a 1-1 draw away in Burkina Faso. It was a tough match in harsh conditions, but the boys managed to salvage a point, and much praise has been heaped on goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.

Many supporters have taken the opportunity to thank Khune for a stellar performance, which included a saved penalty.

To add an even more bizarre spin to the story, Khune is said to have been struggling with a stomach bug prior to the match, but said he managed to rectify the issue by drinking a Coca-Cola...

"Khune, do you have a sponsorship deal with the Coca-Cola brand? Anyway, thanks for the advice, at least now I know what to drink when my stomach runs. You saved us many times, Burkina Faso would've score three or four goals but thanks to your heroic performance, you saved us. We salvaged a point, it's not a bad result, bearing in mind that we were away." – Badelise
