"The first round of the ABSA Premiership was a really exciting one, with some of our local stars coming to the party.
Here are some of the stars who rose their hands to be counted:
Lebogang Manyama (Cape Town City), the skipper of the Cape Town-based side is the best player in the league and he's on fire at the moment.
Gabadinho Mhango (Bidvest Wits), the Malawian international is a genius and makes football look simple whenever he has the ball at his feet.
Percy Tau (Mamelodi Sundowns), the brightest talent for South African football, the 22-year-old took his chance during the CAF campaign and never looked back.
Aubrey Ngoma (also Cape Town City), the former Orlando Pirates man is enjoying a new life in the Mother City, and he's scoring and creating goals for City.
Thokozani Sekotlong (Free State Stars), the former Tuks man is currently in good form at the Bethlehem-based side and he's scoring and creating goals.
Alfred Ndengane (Bloemfontein Celtic), the Siwelele hardman is an outstanding player at the moment for his side even though they are struggling to find results.
Lorenzo Gordinho (Kaizer Chiefs) promises to follow in the footsteps of Lucas Radebe, Mbulelo Mabizela and others to become one of the best defenders the country has ever produced.
Thembinkosi Lorch (Chippa United), the exciting youngster for the Chilli Boys, he's a talented winger.
Siphamandla Mlilo and Simphiwe Mnguni (both Platinum Stars) Calvin Johnson is using a young back four at his side this season, future Bafana defenders.
