Andries "Local is Lekker" Sebola is in the building, and has answered the rest of your questions! Today, he discusses the most enjoyable moments in his career, what he thinks Orlando Pirates should do to turn their fortunes around, and his first salary.
Hello Mr Sebola, I would like to know what you are up to these days. – thimboro
Andries Sebola: I am a soccer analyst for the SABC and the radio station. I try by all means to keep in touch with football, whether it is locally or internationally.
Where did you enjoy your football career the most? – TrevorBaker
AS: I would say at Real Rovers. That was where I started to build a name for myself, and that was how I got the attention of Orlando Pirates. Also, at Pirates, I had a great career there and winning trophies with the team.
How did you feel when you came on as a substitute in most of the games? – nakoza
AS: I wouldn't say that I was disappointed because I was being given the opportunity to play, and I took every chance with both hands.
What do you think Pirates must do to win titles again? – MAKABONGWE
AS: To be honest, a change in the technical team will be the best move for the team to make. Don't get me wrong, Eric Tinkler is good, but he needs more experience, and I think getting a different coach in will be key. Tinkler should remain as the assistant coach.
How much was your first salary? – Tshishudu
AS: During those days when I was at Rovers, my salary was R3 000.
