Loyal Kaizer Chiefs supporter and inventor of the famous vuvuzela, Freddie "Saddam" Maake celebrates his birthday today. His beloved team Amakhosi gave him an early birthday present when they narrowly beat Polokwane City at FNB Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Supporters club wished Saddam a happy birthday, and asked him how he feels about the win.
"You know what? Modimo ahana voice mail (God doesn't have a voice mail). I prayed when Polokwane City scored and said: 'God, please, they cannot spoil my birthday'," he said.
"I cannot ask for a better birthday present, three goals = three points. I am enjoying my birthday now.
"I want to wish all of you guys at Soccer Laduma, and your families, a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
"To the football fraternity, please be safe this festive season, don't drink and walk, don't drink and drive.
"I am waiting for another three points on our last game on the 21st as our Christmas present."
Do you think Saddam will get his Christmas wish?
