Readers Voice: He Can See What We Cant See In Hlanti

While the latest Bafana Bafana squad selection raised eyebrows, some fans have also backed coach Hugo Broos decisions, particularly with the left-back position.

What’s the story?

Broos recently named his provisional squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia and naturally, which gained lots of attention in the process.

One of the biggest talking points was that of Mamelodi Sundowns star Lyle Lakay not being selected to the national team fold, despite being a consistent performer for the Brazilians.

Broos Decisions

A fan by the name of Godfrey Moabi took to the Soccer Laduma Facebook account under the ‘A ‘Travesty’ – Fans Outraged Following Lakay’s Bafana Omission’ post and explained that Broos something in Hlanti that supporters don’t.

Moabi said, “Most of Sundowns players hardly put a good performance for Bafana. Zwane, Maboe have all the experience but when it comes to Bafana, they hardly perform.

Let The Coach Select

“Baxter once said that he selected most Sundowns players based on their CAF experience, he even benched Lorch for Zwane who gave 10% performance in the last AFCON.

“Let the coach select whoever thinks is right for the team. He sees what we can't see in Hlanti. I will support this team since they are starting to give us better results.”

Have your say…

What did you make of the Bafana Bafana squad?
