Reader’s Voice: Pitso Has Taken Away The Derby Vibe

“In the olden days we used to feel the vibe of this Soweto derby weeks before the kick-off but nowadays, Pitso and Downs taken that vibe away. Everyone is interested in what is happening at Downs and journalists are always after Sir Pitso Mosimane.”

SL supporter @Qhaf-Qhaf has given his view on the vibe surrounding the upcoming Soweto derby. A tie that could be billed a potential league decider, with just six points separating the Soweto giants at the top of the table.

An indifferent Chiefs side will be facing an in-form Orlando Pirates who have been reinvigorated under Josef Zinnbauer in the second half of the season, something that @Just87 feels could swing the tie in Bucs’ favour.

“I've always known that the second round of the PSL is tough, I'm not surprised by what is going at Chiefs right now. Our team is trying very hard, people who know and understand football won't ask any questions about it, because it's been like that in all the seasons, second round is tough.

Meanwhile @Stumza@789 is backing the Buccanneers to go all the way and snatch three points, something that can close the gap on their rivals to just three points, however they need to avoid giving away set pieces if they are to stand a chance.

“I don’t see any Kaizer Chiefs back four stopping Pirates players. Lorch must up his game as well this coming Saturday. Oh Sandilands, my Sandilands, what a marvel. Oh lastly we need to concede less set pieces then they doomed. Up The Bucs”

For all the talk around the derby @The-champion feels that the match is futile as the side from Chloorkop will be the ones lifting the Absa Premiership trophy at the end of the season.

“We as Sundowns care less whether they draw or who wins on the day.  Fact is,come May we are going to be crowned the league champions for the 10th time.”

What are your thoughts on the vibe surrounding the derby?
