The yellow steam train keeps moving and grinding forward, destroying all in its path. Mamelodi Sundowns currently look like the kind of side that could only get beaten by their B team. A 3-0 demolition of Golden Arrows has brightened the smiles of the Yellow Nation.
The hilariously fascinating thing about Sundowns is that they have only played five league games due to their continental commitments. After just five fixtures, they sit in eighth position, above some teams that have played twice as many games as them, such as Maritzburg United and Free State Stars.
"KBY I remain. Now is the time to take our spot. Two weeks back we were at the bottom of the league but it amazing that we have only played five games while others had played 10, but now we are at number 8, three points three steps down we are from number 15 then 12 then its 8. Now then our next game we going to number 5." – Peace Ntshangase
"Sundowns were good yesterday but the scoreline doesn't reflect the essence of the game, most of the goals scored against us were self-inflicted mistakes. Mgwengwe, Nonyane and KG's absence was evident. All in all, we amassed a total of 3 from 6 in our 4 days here... not so bad, we are still in the top 4... I must say the vibe in the stadium was good, we really enjoyed ourselves." – AS
"Our technical team really needs to be applauded for their players' management, they know when to rest who, when and for which game. Being able to convert players to be versatile and play in different positions is really a skill. The players are looking happy, the supporters are happy, the whole yellow family is happy. I love Downs." – mheshele
