Pirates Supporters' Mixed Emotions To Injury List

In a strange turn of events, Orlando Pirates will go into their next round of fixtures with many of their stars out injured. Included in the list is top goalscorer Tendai Ndoro as well as new signing Thabiso Kutumela and controversial defender Edward Gyimah.

This news has brought about mixed reactions from many of the suppporters, with some wondering if the lengthy list is being used for mind games, while others feel that there is enough quality in the ranks to cover ahead of the Soweto Derby. It seems that the Pirates supporters smell a rat.

“Hah ha ha .... Its simple mind games Mr Mushin” - younggold

“Why so many injuries coach almost the whole team.” – Amos maluleke

“We all know that Pirates are hinging on Ndoro...if he can't score goals...and the in the worst part in that ....Kutumela is also injured.” – Mabotsa_Shabza_Khosi

Other supporters have asserted that Orlando Pirates has a “galaxy full of stars”  and that an enlarged suspension list is no excuse for an underperforming Orlando Pirates.

“Pirates have a squad of players that equals all 16 Psl teams combined so the coach must stop moaning n play better.” – T-Man360

“I have always said that all the registered players and those who are on the payroll of the team, have a duty to fulfill at any given time. Thus coaches must learn to trust all the players that are registered under the name of the team that he is coaching, football it is a game of injuries and suspensions. Thus to avoid lousy excuses on the media, coaches must learn to use all the material provided to them.” – Mvezi2

However, the biggest concern remains the absence of Tendai Ndoro the goalscoring machine, and Thabiso Kutumela his replacement.

“Anyway get well soon guys we want to see it raining goals at the Soweto Derby this time” - Letsoara
